Supply terms in compliance with ADR
SARPI Dorog will only receive hazardous waste in compliance with the valid ADR regulation (Ministry of Economy’s Regulation No. 61 of 2007. (VI. 29.)).
Obligations of the supplier (consigner)
- To make sure that the hazardous goods are listed in compliance with ADR and can be shipped according to ADR.
- To provide the supplier with information and data and, if required, with freights and related documents (approvals, written orders, permissions, announcements, certificates etc.).
- Only packaging material, bulk wrappings, IBCs and containers (tank vessels, tank containers) that are approved and are suitable for shipping that specific material shall be used, and will have been labeled as specified by ADR.
- Requirements concerning the way of consignment and shipment limitations should be observed.
Shipper’s Obligations
- To ensure that the ADR allows the shipment of the respective hazardous goods.
- To make sure that the required documents (eg. the „SZ” accompanying document used for hazardous waste, written orders) are on the transporting vehicle.
- To visually check that neither the vehicle nor the load have obvious defects, that there are no leakage or rupture, and that no necessary fittings are missing.
- To make sure that validity of the tank vehicle, the tank container or the bins, such as IBC, have not expired.
- To check that the vehicles are not overloaded.
- To make sure that the required hazardous labels and tags have been placed onto the vehicle and that the tags (“Sz” sheet number, labels, correct shipment denomination, sender’s name, EWC code, date of sending) are shown on the consignment pieces.
- To make sure that the documents required from the driver (such as a written order) and the required tools are on board.
General information that should be included in the freight document
- UN Number
- Shipment’s correct name, completed with the necessary technical, chemical or biological terms if required
- Class of goods
- Packing group for the material (if applicable)
- ADR abbreviation
- Number and types of consignment pieces
- Total quantity by dangerous goods
- Consigner’s name and address
- Addressee’s name and address
Special requirements for waste
When waste containing hazardous substances is transported, the word "HULLADÉK" (waste) should be inserted before the UN number and the shipment’s correct name. eg. ’HULLADÉK/WASTE 3077 HAZARDOUS SOLID SUBSTANCE M.N.N. 9,II,M7 ADR’.
Requirements for loading, unloading and goods management (ADR Chapter 7.5)
- When arriving at the site of loading or unloading, the driver should observe the required provisions, and the vehicle should also comply with them (particularly with regard to the safety, cleanness and sufficient operation of the vehicle-mounted fittings used during loading and unloading).
- Loading cannot be completed if the examination of the documents or the visual check of the vehicle or its apparatuses indicates that the vehicle or its driver fail to comply with the requirements.
- Unloading shall not take place if the above mentioned examination brings to light shortfalls that could affect safe unloading.
Important: The regulations require SARPI Dorog to refuse the receipt or the elimination of any illegal supply. - Under the specific regulations of ADR, certain dangerous goods can be shipped as ’full container load’ only. In such cases the respective authority could order to load and unload the vehicle or bulk container used for such transportation at a single site.
Barring transportation of mixed goods in the same vehicle:
- The parts of the load bearing different labels can only be loaded in the same vehicle or container if their hazard classifications allow placing them together.
