Major investments
SARPI Dorog has always focused on modernizing its incinerator and on investments that protect the environment. During the past three years, we invested over HUF 730 million in environmental developments; and over the last five years, for example, we significantly reduced, practically halved, the quantity of our industrial water consumption.
2006
- Modernizing and replacing the OPSIS system
Buying a new, continuous emission measurement device worth HUF 60 million - Modernizing the laboratory
To further increase the accuracy and reliability of our laboratory analysis, we acquired additional, new measurement equipment, including a HUF 15 million ED-XRF spectrometer
2005
- Installing four 300 m3 liquid containers
Four 300 m3 hazardous waste tanks have been installed to replace a 1,000 m3 one. After a three-month test run, we have received the utilization permit. With the installation of these tanks, utilizing the latest technology and safety devices, the pre-treatment and wider storage separation of liquid wastes has become significantly safer, while servicing our customers’ needs has become both faster and more efficient. Our storage capacity has increased from 525 m3to 1,725 m3.
The investment is worth HUF 189.28 million (around EUR 757,120). - Upgrading the post-combustor
During the scheduled overhaul we carried out renovation of post-combustor, at a total cost of HUF 87.83 million (EUR 351,320). - Replacing the chimney
We have replaced the chimney in October 2005. The new chimney is a novelty in and of itself, as it is made of the latest epoxy resin.
The investment cost HUF 50 million (approx. EUR 200,000).
2004
- Closing the landfill
We closed and recultivated landfills No. 2 and 3 through a HUF 330 million (approx. EUR 1,32 million) investment.
